In this FREE 60-minute practice, Jivana will offer a sample Accessible Yoga class exploring balance in a chair and on a mat within the same class. 

Through the practice, he’ll share adaptations of traditional standing balancing poses that can be done standing or seated with the goal of helping you personalize your practice and find effective ways of working on building balance. This holistic yoga class will include a warm up, relaxation, pranayama, and meditation.

Balance is a key element in yoga practice, not only in the physical asanas, but in the overall approach to seeking balance in our lives. Practices that help us cultivate balance have tremendous benefits for well-being, especially as we age. 

Balancing isn’t only about standing on one leg! The process of maintaining physical balance is a complex interplay of different physiological systems, including the visual, proprioceptive (sensory nerves), and vestibular (inner ear). 

In this FREE 60-minute workshop, Jivana Heyman will detail in accessible language how we find, build, and maintain balance through practice. You can expect to…
