In this 21-hour online course, Accessible Yoga founder, Jivana Heyman, will cover the fundamentals of serving older adults from the perspective of the koshas. We’ll explore how to work with our aging bodies, as well as work with the breath to manage energy, and meditation to help calm the mind.
You'll also have the opportunity to learn from guest teachers, Eve Adler, Ekta Hattangady, Carol Krucoff, and Jess Geevarghese, who specialize in topics such as dementia, grief, health care, and practices for older adults of various ages and mobility levels, that will support your teaching toolkit.
Plus, the training includes four pre-recorded practices for older adults guided by Kallie Schut, Dr. Steffany Moonaz, Sunny Barbee, and Liz Oppedijk.
This program is designed for yoga teachers, however older adults who want to understand more about building a safe and effective personal practice will get a lot out of the training.
Course recordings and resources will be available for registrants to access via our online course portal for a whole year!
