So you’ve attended yoga teacher training and read stacks of yoga books, but the next critical step in making your teaching accessible involves communication.

In this 60-minute FREE workshop, Accessible Yoga founder Jivana Heyman will address:
- Reflecting on the tone and phrasing of your teaching instruction
- Considering invitation language and how to make it effective while cultivating safety
- How language can help you reach individuals within a group class
- Demonstration as a language of teaching
- Attending to a variety of communication challenges that arise in real time
Jivana will also end with a short info session about the upcoming Accessible Yoga Training Online that begins October 17th, 2024.

The beauty of forward bends is that they help us to turn inward, connect with yourself, and potentially feel calmer. However, while they may seem like a simple shape within postures, there’s more to forward bends than you may think.
In many cases, two different movements are taking place within the hip and spine. If you are teaching older adults or other populations with pre-existing conditions, you will need to understand the mechanics of the postures and how to adapt them safely and effectively.Â
In this FREE 60-minute workshop, Accessible Yoga founder Jivana Heyman will cover:Â
- Reflecting on hip flexion and spinal flexion within asana
- Safe forward bending in populations with pre-existing conditions, including back issues
- Adapting common forward bends in a chair or on the mat
He will also offer a practice with a focus on forward bends.
Plus, Jivana will share more about the upcoming Accessible Yoga Training Online, which begins on October 17th, 2024 —and give away a FREE copy of his new book, The Teacher's Guide to Accessible Yoga: Best Practices for Sharing Yoga with Every Body to one lucky workshop attendee!
